t-matix gives user data to service providers and other partners, such as Google Analytics, Amazon Web Services (AWS), which help t-matix to provide and improve its services, such as: offering technical infrastructure services or analyzing the performance of the services and how they are used.

3 Cookies

Some parts of the Connect it Boat website use “cookies”, i.e. small text files that are stored on the computer and in the browser. These are used by t-matix to provide a more user-friendly, effective and secure service. Cookies also allow t-matix to identify the browser being used thereby allowing them to make certain offers or provide specific services. Cookies do not contain personally identifiable information.

The user has the option at any time to refuse the use of cookies by selecting the corresponding option in the settings of the browser. However, it should be noted that the removal of cookies may reduce the scope of services on the Connect-it-Boat portal.

4 Google Analytics and App Analytics

4.1 Google Analytics

The website www.connect-it-boat.com uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter referred to as “Google. Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on the user’s computer allowing analysis of the website usage. The information generated by these cookies, such as the time, location and frequency of the user’s visit to the website, including the user’s IP address, are transmitted to Google in the United States and stored there.

The Connect-it-Boat product uses Google Analytics with the addition of “_gat._anonymizeIp”. This add-on shortens the IP address of the user within member states of the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, thereby making it anonymous.

Google uses the information gathered to analyze the use of the Connect-it-Boat product to provide reports on website activity and additional services related to t-matix’s Connect it Boat. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf.

Google will, by its own account, in no way link your IP address to other data retrieved by Google.

The user can avoid the installation of cookies by appropriately adjusting their Browser software. Please be aware of the fact, that in this case it is possible that you will not be able to fully enjoy all the features of the Connect-it-Boat product.

Furthermore, Google offers a deactivation add-on for the most popular browsers, which gives the user more control over which data Google collects on the websites visited by the user. The add-on informs the JavaScript (ga.js) of Google Analytics that no website visit information should be transmitted to Google Analytics. However, the Google Analytics Disable Add-on does not prevent information from being transmitted to t-matix or any other web analytics services we may use. More information about installing the browser add-on is available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

4.2 App Analytics

Mobile applications on iOS and Android use the services of App Center, https://appcenter.ms, a service provided by Microsoft.

5 Changes to the privacy policy

Changes to this privacy policy require the consent of the user effected by the change. In this case, t-matix will inform the user as soon as possible. Any such changes will be effective at the latest 30 days after publication.

6 Deletion of User Data

In the event of the termination of a user’s account, all user data will be deactivated. The user may request that all user data, which is no longer required for the fulfillment of the contract by t-matix, or necessary due to legal requirements, is permanently deleted. Such a request for deletion must be made by e-mail to support.cib@t-matix.com, stating the e-mail address provided during registration. t-matix will comply with this request within 10 days and will keep a confirmation of the deletion one year after deletion.
